Meet The Team
Angus Castley / Partner
Angus Castley is a partner of Bradford Legal and has a strong passion for advocating for the rights and entitlements of people affected by injuries, and personally handles all matters on behalf of his clients.
Angus began working for Bradford Legal on the 1st of January 1992. Having initially obtained a Bachelor of Economics degree at the University of Western Australia, Angus gained experience as a paralegal dealing with all aspects of personal injury claim, with particular interest in workers’ compensation claims.
Angus commenced a 5 year articles with Bradford Legal in 1995 and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia in December 1999. During the period of his articles, Angus regularly appeared as an advocate on behalf of injured workers at the WorkCover Conciliation and Review Directorate.
Angus has experience in all aspects of personal injury claims, including:
- Work Accidents
- Motor Vehicle Accidents
- Insurance Policy Disputes relating to injuries
- Public Liability Claims.
Angus has appeared in the District Court, Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, Magistrates Court and WorkCover Conciliation and Review Directorate.
Outside of work, Angus is involved in coaching junior sport and is still an active participant in amateur cricket. Together with other members of the Bradford Legal team, Angus also participates in open water ocean swimming, including the Rottnest Channel Swim.
Tim Heard / Partner
Tim Heard is a partner of Bradford Legal and has been practising in personal injury claims since 1990 after graduating from the University of Western Australia. Tim joined the Bradford Legal team in 1997 and since then has been working closely with his valued clients to aggressively pursue their claims and achieve the best possible outcome.
Tim has broad range of experience in all types of personal injury law claims including:

Tim has established a successful record particularly in the District and Supreme Courts of Western Australia, and understands the need to communicate with you regularly about your claim throughout the journey.
Away from work, Tim has participated in the Rottnest Channel Swim since 2003 and attends sporting activities with his children on weekends.
Chris Cooper, a graduate from Murdoch University, has been a solicitor with the firm for 7 years. Chris works closely with the firm’s other solicitors in the day-to-day management of claims and regularly appears on behalf of the firm’s clients in the District Court.
Chris is keenly involved in the preparation of claims for trial and takes on a very personal approach when dealing with all our valued clients.
In his role as a Solicitor, Chris personally manages a variety of claims including:
- Motor Vehicle Accidents
- Public Liability Claims
- Workers Compensation Claims
- Medical Negligence Claims
On his time off, Chris is both the vice president and a playing member of the Applecross Cricket Club and enjoys taking part in sporting events such as the Rottnest Channel Swim, Avon Descent and running events in Perth.
Emma Maclean graduated from Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce (Professional Accounting major). Emma was taken on by Bradford Legal to assist with a large trial in the District Court. After the trial, Emma was retained by Bradford Legal as a law clerk until she was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2013.
Emma first developed an interest in personal injury law after being involved in a near-fatal accident several years ago and has been passionate about the area ever since. This first-hand experience means that Emma is able to sympathise with many of the difficulties experienced by our clients and works hard to ensure that their claim receives the best outcome.
When she’s not working, Emma enjoys live music, the beach, and spending time in Fremantle.
